The Festivities in Honour of the Most Holy Christ of Hope in Algete kick off this Thursday, September 10, with a security operation that, for the first time, includes two ambulances operational 24 hours a day.
The Festivities in Honour of the Most Holy Christ of Hope in Algete begin this Thursday, September 10, and will last until Monday. According to Cadena SER, the municipality will launch a security and emergency device with two ambulances operational 24 hours a day, a completely new feature for these celebrations.
The device will include 37 Local Police officers, who will enhance surveillance in the busiest areas and carry out preventive checks. Civil Protection will mobilise 30 volunteers, supported by groups from neighbouring municipalities.
Additionally, a public parking area with capacity for 300 vehicles will be established to facilitate access for residents and visitors during the four festive days.
The preventive checks will focus on preventing the entry of narcotics, weapons, or other dangerous objects into the municipality. For this purpose, canine units from the Local Police will be deployed to inspect the boots of vehicles entering Algete.
Surveillance will also extend to public transport, with special attention to bus arrival points, where both the Local Police and the Guardia Civil will intervene. The operation also has the collaboration of Summa 112.
