The City Council of Madrid brings a 350-square-metre goose game to the 21 districts for children aged 7 to 9 to learn road safety and get to know the M-30. The presentation coincides with European Mobility Week.
A board of about 350 square metres inspired by the game of goose will travel through the 21 districts of Madrid so that the youngest can learn about the M-30 and road safety rules. The initiative, called 'Get to Know Madrid Calle 30', was presented by the delegate for Works and Equipment, Paloma García Romero, and the councillor for Ciudad Lineal, Nadia Álvarez, as reported by telemadrid.es.
The launch took place with around fifty students aged 7 to 9 years from Colegio Jesús María-Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre. During the game, participants answer general knowledge questions about the city and test their knowledge of the M-30 and traffic rules.
The format allows for collective participation of large groups thanks to the size of the board. Additionally, there is a tabletop version for family play that is given for free to participants, with the aim of extending the activity's content beyond the school environment.
To bring the proposal to all districts, Madrid Calle 30 will feature a mobile bus equipped with a photocall, a reproduction of the game squares, and a map of the M-30 and access roads to the city. The vehicle will also include images of the vertical gardens on the Avenida de la Ilustración, those being installed in Ventas, and those planned for Vallecas.
The presentation coincides with European Mobility Week. In this context, Madrid Calle 30 will set up an information point next Sunday at Paseo del Prado, next to the Tourist Office, where attendees can learn about the work carried out by the municipal company on the M-30, a metropolitan mobility infrastructure of the capital.
