The average price of petrol in Madrid hovers around €1.7 per litre, but there are still stations where you can refuel for less than €1.6. These are the most economical according to the Ministry's Geoportal.
The return to school has increased car journeys, and it's important to know where to fill up without straining your wallet too much. According to OK Diario, on Tuesday 8th September, the price of unleaded 95 petrol exceeds €1.7 at many stations in the region, although there are still options below €1.6.
The data comes from the Geoportal, the tool from the Ministry for Ecological Transition that collects prices reported by the petrol stations themselves. Here are the cheapest points in the Community of Madrid early this morning.
The most economical station is a Ballenoil in Móstoles, located at Calle Puerto Cotos, 25, where the litre costs €1.589. Following this are several stations in Alcalá de Henares with prices of €1.629: Ballenoil on the M-300 road (km 26.9) and on the Daganzo road (km 5), Petroprix on Calle Isaac Newton 155, Gasexpress on the Daganzo road (km 3), and Plenergy on Avenida de Madrid 60 and 9.
In the southwest, Valdemoro has several options below €1.66. The Área 117 station, on Calle Narciso Monturiol 28, offers the litre at €1.649, the same as the Ballenoil in Móstoles on Calle Plasencia 29. In Valdemoro, there are also points at €1.659, such as the Ballenoil on Avenida de Andalucía 7 and the T9 on Calle Tenerías 50, Miguel Servet 21, and Avenida de Andalucía 118.
In the northwest, the Ballenoil stations in Las Rozas (Calle Cabo Rufino Lázaro 7), Majadahonda (Calle Cereza 4), and Pozuelo de Alarcón (Pozuelo-Majadahonda road km 2) set the litre at €1.655, the same price as the Petroprix in Majadahonda on Calle El Barbero de Sevilla 2. In Villaviciosa de Odón, the Ballenoil on Avenida Quitapesares 33 and the T9 on Calle Miguel Servet 21 (Valdemoro) are also in that range.
Other options to consider: the Supeco in the La Garena industrial estate in Alcalá de Henares (Avenida de Europa s/n) at €1.659, the Plenergy in Ciempozuelos (Calle del Paraíso s/n) at the same price, and the Ballenoil in Valdemoro on Avenida de las Morcilleras 1.
