The regional government increases the Zero Rate and permanent hiring support by three million euros, bringing the total to 45 million in 2026. Applications can be submitted online throughout the year.

The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid approved this week an increase of three million euros in the Zero Rate support for new self-employed individuals and incentives for the permanent hiring of unemployed individuals facing greater difficulties in finding work. According to miracorredor.tv, with this increase, both programs will total 45 million euros in 2026, sufficient to meet the applications submitted until the end of the year.

The Zero Rate will have 13 million euros, after incorporating an additional two million. The support for permanent hiring will reach 32 million euros, with an increase of one million, as reported by the regional government.

The Zero Rate allows those starting self-employment to recover the contributions paid to Social Security during their first twelve months of activity. This period can be extended for another year for self-employed individuals with income below the minimum wage, people with disabilities, or those in vulnerable situations. Individuals over 52 years old who leave unemployment benefits to start a business can also benefit.

The support for permanent hiring offers grants of between 5,500 and 11,000 euros per worker, depending on their circumstances. It is aimed at companies, self-employed professionals, and non-profit entities that hire long-term or very long-term unemployed individuals, those over 45 years old, or individuals who will work in rural municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.

To receive these grants, the job must be maintained for at least twelve months. Both subsidies are already active and can be applied for throughout the year via the Digital Administration of the Community of Madrid.
