The Colombian singer concluded her 13 concerts of her residency in Madrid on Monday, October 12, with over 700,000 accumulated spectators and an average of 50,233 per show.

Shakira's residency in Madrid came to an end this Monday October 12, a public holiday in Spain, after 13 concerts held over the course of a month. In total, the Colombian artist gathered more than 700,000 people, according to eldiariony.com.

The average attendance per show stands at 50,233 spectators, a figure that has led her to top the LIVE75 list by Pollstar. This record corresponds only to the first nine performances in Madrid, which sold a total of 452,097 tickets.

These shows are part of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour, which the singer has been running for nearly two years. Guests such as Dua Lipa, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Maluma, Beéle, Manuel Turizo, Dani Martín, and Bizarrap graced the Madrid stage.

For this residency, Shakira designed and built Macondo Park, her own venue divided into several areas: a museum, a secondary stage for other artists, a food point, a bookstore, and a children's area. This variety of activities required opening the doors several hours before the start of each concert.

The residency model, with many concerts in a single city, reduces artists' travel and attracts visitors, translating into income for the local tourism sector. Meanwhile, Harry Styles is holding a residency of 30 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The impact of the format devised by Shakira in Madrid will be measurable in the coming months, as it could be replicated in other venues.
