The Josep Carreras Theatre hosts a comedy by Plautus featuring Carlos Sobera and the second edition of Circo Abierto. The III National Photography Congress NIX and the 'X Amor al Arte' craft fair complete the agenda.
Fuenlabrada is concentrating several cultural events this weekend. The programme kicks off this Friday with the second edition of Circo Abierto, which opens with the show 'MUTE… and let’s fly!', by the company Orain Bi, at 19:30 hours in the Josep Carreras Theatre, as reported by Noticias para Municipios.
Within the festival, the initiative 'The Young Eye of Circo Abierto' is aimed at young people aged 18 to 26 years. The cycle runs until 27 November with proposals such as 'Wooow!', by Nando Caneca; 'Packaging', by Chicharrón Circo; 'Now', by Maite Guevara; 'Munchaussen', by Asaco Producciones; 'Tenet', by Eunoia Kolektiva, and 'Drop', by Txema Muñoz, among others.
The presenter and actor Carlos Sobera leads a comedy based on the work of Plautus that premiered this summer at the Mérida Festival. The plot transports the audience to ancient Rome to meet Euclio, a widower obsessed with protecting a pot full of gold coins that he hides for fear that someone will steal it.
The III National Photography Congress NIX brings together enthusiasts and professionals from the sector as one of the highlighted events of the weekend. Meanwhile, the Loranca neighbourhood hosts the first edition of 'X Amor al Arte', a space for young designers and artisans from the city to showcase their work.
Also at the Josep Carreras Theatre, at 19:00 hours, Contraluz Teatro presents 'Blood Weddings', by Federico García Lorca, in an adaptation of the classic work.
