Renfe has scheduled 65 commercial services on the high-speed line Madrid-Barcelona for this Thursday, two more than on Wednesday, while the burned train is being removed.

According to diariofinanciero.com, Renfe has scheduled 65 commercial services on the Madrid-Barcelona high-speed corridor for this Thursday, two more than on Wednesday. The company is maintaining the service while work continues to restore the infrastructure following the fire of a train last Monday.

Among the scheduled trains is the AVE 3131, which departs from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha at 13.22 and arrives at Barcelona-Sants at 16.24, and the AVE 3140, which departs from Barcelona-Sants at 14.25 and arrives in Madrid at 17.26.

To preserve the maximum number of seats possible, Renfe is applying an operational plan similar to that of recent days. It combines trains in double composition with schedule adjustments on some services and has individually notified affected passengers about the changes.

Currently, operations are taking place on a single track between Ricla and Plasencia de Jalón, both in Zaragoza. This reduces the line's capacity and extends travel times.

Workers have already towed the burned train to the Zaragoza-Delicias station to clear the track. The damaged traction unit from the fire still needs to be removed from the track.

High technical complexity,” due to difficult access to the area, according to Renfe

Renfe expects the work to continue over the next few days, alongside commercial traffic. Once all material is removed, Adif will inspect the facilities to decide on the necessary actions before restoring normal service.
