The City Council of Madrid will celebrate the seventh edition of its accessibility conference on October 20 and 21, 2026. Attendance is free, either in person or online, with prior registration.
According to discapnet.es, the General Directorate of Accessibility, part of the Government Area of Deputy Mayor, Spokesperson, Security and Emergencies of the City Council of Madrid, is organising in October 2026 the VII edition of its annual Universal Accessibility conference, under the slogan "Madrid Accessibility with conviction. It is your right".
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 21 at the Eduardo Úrculo Cultural Centre. There, the work that the council has promoted in the field of accessibility within the First Action Plan derived from the Strategic Plan for Universal Accessibility of the capital will be presented.
Registration is free and can be done through the form available on the conference website. As the auditorium has limited capacity, if applications exceed the capacity, those received by order of registration will have priority. Those who attend the entire conference will receive a certificate of attendance.
The event will have reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility, a sign language interpreter, subtitling, and a magnetic loop. Additionally, an expert jury will recognise the most innovative practices, with the greatest impact or most replicable among the initiatives presented.
For any questions, the City Council has set up the email jornadaaccesibilidad@madrid.es.
