The mayor of Pozuelo de Alarcón has appointed Eduardo Aristegui Vacas as the new coordinator of the Emergency and Health Assistance Service (SEAPA). The nurse, with experience in emergencies and urgent care, takes the position following the departure of Juan Antonio González Benito.
Eduardo Aristegui Vacas has been appointed by the mayor of Pozuelo de Alarcón, Susana Pérez Quislant, as the new coordinator of the Emergency and Health Assistance Service (SEAPA), as reported by the digital media El Correo de Pozuelo. He replaces Juan Antonio González Benito.
Aristegui is a nurse with experience in emergencies, urgent care, and intensive care, both for adults and pediatrics. His professional career is linked to the public health system in Madrid, including SUMMA 112, and he has participated in selection processes for the Community of Madrid, the General State Administration, and the Defence Hospital Network.
In 2022, he applied for the selection process called by the Pozuelo City Council to fill the position of Emergency Health Technician-Coordinator of SEAPA, which he passed. The position ultimately went to González Benito, and Aristegui was placed first on the waiting list for interim officials resulting from that process.
His arrival coincides with the Feast of Our Lady of Consolation, one of the busiest periods for the municipal health service.
The local media has criticized the presentation of the new coordinator on social media, where he appears in a video performing a donut in a BMW, an image deemed inappropriate for a position of his responsibility.
