The Community of Madrid will invest more than €853 million in the Industrial Plan 2026-2030, a strategy articulated in 85 measures that includes specific projects for the technological corridor in the western region. The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, presented the details of the plan on Tuesday during a meeting at the HUB232 centre in El Cantizal, Las Rozas, as reported by lavozdelasierra.es.
Among the initiatives planned for the western area is the launch of a cybersecurity demonstration centre, the deployment of the IndustrIA Madrid platform for the digitalisation of the sector, and the creation of an open innovation space that connects multinationals with start-ups.
The event, organised by the Confederation of Business Associations of Western Madrid (CADEMO), served to reaffirm the alliance between the Las Rozas City Council and the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment. The meeting also included the president of CEIM, Miguel Garrido, and representatives from the municipal corporation and local business community.
The business concentration in western Madrid requires maintaining low tax pressure policies to boost economic growth,” stated the Mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz.
De la Uz cited the Entrepreneur Attention Point located in the HUB232 itself, which serves as a municipal reference for starting new businesses. The mayor emphasised that the metropolitan western area has a productive fabric that the regional plan aims to strengthen with advanced services and innovation.
The projects of the Industrial Plan 2026-2030 will be developed over the next five years in the Community of Madrid, with a special focus on the technological corridor of the west.
