Villaviciosa de Odón celebrates the III Hispanic Heritage Days from Thursday, October 8 to Monday, October 12, with a program that combines school activities, screenings, conferences, and institutional events, as reported by lavozmadrid.es.
The first event will take place on Thursday, October 8 at 12:00 PM in the Civic Hall, featuring a school activity on 'Flavours of Hispanic Heritage' led by the workshops Antonio Ventura “El Quinto Sabor”. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the Art Room of the Coliseo de la Cultura will host the screening of the documentary 'We the Hispanos - Spain, Root of the United States' by José Luis López-Linares, followed by a discussion.
On Friday, October 9, the same room will be the venue for the conference 'Isabel Zendal: the Royal Philanthropic Expedition of the Vaccine', delivered by Rafael Codes at 6:00 PM.
On Saturday, October 10, the Teresa Berganza Auditorium will present 'Miras, Legacy in Motion', performed by the Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid, at 7:00 PM.
The days will conclude on Monday, October 12, the feast day of the Virgin of the Pillar, with a mass at the Church of Santiago Apóstol at 12:00 PM. An hour later, at 1:00 PM, the Civil Guard Barracks will celebrate the feast of its patroness.
