The La Tercera Multi-Purpose Hall in San Sebastián de los Reyes will host the 17 October 2026 Gala Tribute to Bullfighters of Yesterday and Today, an event that will gather 30 bullfighters from three generations under the motto 'Between Capes, Dreams and Applause'. The initiative is organised by L.R. with the support of the San Sebastián de los Reyes City Council, as reported by tendidodigital.es.
Among those honoured are the master Ortega Cano, the Colombian César Rincón (four-time Puerta Grande of Madrid), José Arroyo 'Joselito', Andrés Caballero, the horseman Javier San José, Jean Bautista and Sebastián Pereira. Alongside them will participate representatives of the new generation of the sansero ranking such as Alberto López Simón, Álvaro García, Diego García, Javier Berjumea, Iván Sanz, Jorge León, David Sanz, Curro Flores and Marcos Navacerrada, among others.
The event will be presided over by the mayor Lucía Fernández, the councillor for Celebrations Carlos Bolarín, the president of the Federation Jorge Fajardo and the bullfighting critic Teófilo Sanz. The gala has the backing of more than thirty local shops and businesses.
