Madrid City Council distinguishes the festival with the Recognition of Tourism of Madrid after a tenth edition that gathered over 195,000 attendees at the Alfonso XIII Botanical Garden.
The Madrid City Council, through the Delegated Area of Tourism, has awarded Noches del Botánico the Recognition of Tourism of Madrid in the category of Event of Tourist Interest, as reported by the City Council, as noted by Europa Press.
The distinction was presented at an event held on Friday afternoon at the Casa de la Villa, under the slogan 'The profession of being from Madrid'. These awards recognise individuals and entities that maintain the identity of the city and facilitate visitors in discovering it.
The jury valued the festival's contribution to consolidating the Alfonso XIII Botanical Garden of the Complutense University of Madrid as a reference venue for Madrid's cultural summer and a meeting point for national and international artists.
In a summer where Madrid has once again positioned itself as one of the main stages for major cultural and sporting events, the award highlights the contribution of Noches del Botánico as a tourist and cultural attraction of the city. After ten editions, the project continues to invite people to discover and enjoy Madrid through a unique musical experience," highlighted the City Council.
The tenth edition of the concert series gathered over 195,000 attendees. Its programme, which takes place during the months of June and July, attracts local Madrid residents, visitors from other autonomous communities, and international followers.
The recognition is part of the municipal commitment to major cultural and sporting events that reinforce the capital's position as a tourist destination.
