According to masescena.es, the production brings together eight dancers executing a choreography defined by the author as complex, mathematical, vigorous, and exhausting, with a forced uniformity. At one point in the piece, the performers make a mistake that causes their masks to fall off, revealing the person behind each one.

The original version of 'The Dog Days Are Over' marked Martens' rise to fame and accumulated over 100 performances on an international tour. Ten years after its premiere, the choreographer revisits those issues with a proposal that encourages the spectator to stop being a passive observer and actively reflect on what they see.
Jan Martens (Antwerp, 1984) trained at the conservatory in his city and at the Fontys Dance Academy, graduating in 2006 from the dance department of the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Since 2010, he has been developing his own choreographic work. In 2022, he premiered 'Futur Proche' at the Avignon Festival, and since that same year, he has combined the artistic co-direction of GRIP with his role as an associate artist at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
