The Ecostars platform has launched the competition 'The Most Sustainable Independent Hotel in Spain', with €6,000 for the winner. Free registrations are open until October 12, 2026.
The artificial intelligence platform Ecostars has opened registrations for the competition “The Most Sustainable Independent Hotel in Spain”, which will award €6,000 to the winning establishment. Each of the nine finalists will receive €1,000, as reported by hosteltur.com.
Independent hotels or those belonging to chains of a maximum of five establishments, located anywhere in Spain, can participate, with no size restrictions. Registration is free and the deadline ends on October 12, 2026.
The call has the support of around twenty hotel associations, including AEHM of Madrid, AEDH, AEHCOS of Málaga, the Gremi de Hotels de Barcelona, Ashotel of the Canary Islands, and FEHV of Valencia.
Ecostars will automatically analyse the data provided by each hotel and apply its ESG methodology to assess the level of sustainability. The finalists and the winner will be announced on October 19, and both the winner and the finalists will be invited to the Ecostars Forum Spain, which will take place on October 27 in Madrid.
